The animals were divided into two groups. In the first group investigated the effect of melanin on the basal gastric secretion in conditions of prolonged hyperhastrinemy, induced by 28-day administration of omeprazole. In the second group was examined the influence of melanin on the morphological state of gastric mucosa after prolonged hyperhastrinemy. As a result, studies found that melanin are effectively protects the gastric mucosa transformations, evoked by long-term administration of proton pump inhibitors.
