This allows the prediction of optimal parameters of water technology processes. Some silicate compositions - high-porous ceramic materials, based on kaolinite and montmorilonite clays and materials based on the foam glass - were created and tested. Surface modification of these materials was developed by covering with active layer of zeolite, Fe0 powders, etc. Optimal conditions of waste water purification from heavy metals and radionuclides using modified silicate dispersion were defined. Propositions for using designed materials in geothechnical barriers for water protection from heavy metal and radionuclide contamination in mineral resource industry were developed.
