Aim: increase of the bulb onion yield, raising of production paying and reduce of a produce unit cost price. Methods: visual, measuring, weight, chemical, statistic, calculating. There has been determined the thickness of plants stand when growing onion of the cigar-shaped variety types both for production and seed purposes - 900 ths pieces/ ha; for onion with flat shape of a bulb - 500 ths pieces/ ha for production purpose and 800 ths pieces/ ha - for seed ones; with cassette technology - 568 ths pieces/ ha - 5 plants in a cell, for with flat shape of a bulb - 340 ths pieces/ ha - 3 plants in a cell. There has been determined efficiency of the use of mulching material (straw of winter crops) on onion seed plants. The yield augmentation is 50 kg of seeds per a hectare.
