The subject of researches: late white head cabbage. Methods of researches: field, laboratory, production-laboratory and mathematical. Aim of the work: scientific-technological substantiation of main agro technical measures for growing of the white head cabbage yield, directed on seed productivity and produce quality. Task of researches: to define influence of different kinds of mulch and their thickness on growth, seed productivity and weediness of sowings. Results of SRW: there has been determined efficiency of the agricultural practice - mulching use on cabbage seed plants. Application of buckwheat straw as much with 15-20 cm thickness promotes the reduction of sowings weediness up to 13,6 pieces/m2, weeds destruction is 90,5 %. Economic efficiency of the mulch from buckwheat straw with 15-20 cm application is 2522 Hr/ha. The seeds yield is 3,6 c/ha, augmentation to the control - 0,6 c/ha, sowing qualities are high, satisfy the requirements of the State Standard of Ukraine 2240-93, laboratory germination is 92%, seed vigour is 88%. The results of production examination prove the expediency of cabbage seed plants mulching by buckwheat straw with 15-20 cm thickness of the mulch. The seeds yield is 40 c/ha augmentation to the control - 0,5 c/ha. Net profit from growing of seed plants with mulching straw is 48825 Hr/ha. Economic effect of the proposed agrarian measure is 3270 Hr/ha. The results of SRW will be inculcated in technologies of white head cabbage seeds production in seed production holdings and farmsteads in the North Forest-Steep and Forest Area of Ukraine. vegetable growing, technology, white head, cabbage, mulching, straw.
