Preliminary collection of high-lipids microalgae strains is formed. It counts 32 straines from 17 species and 7 genera. Type of microalgal cultures growth was studied and culture medium for their growth was optimized. Some species of Acutodesmus, Chlorella and Desmodesmus are proved to be perspective for biofuel production and Acutodesmus dimorphus IBASU-A-251 strain appears to be the most productive one. Optimal conditions for its growth were determined that is 200 mg of nitrate nitrogen and pH 7,0-8,5. New cultures of 5 species of green and euglenoid algae (Desmodesmus, Acutodesmus, Euglena), which are characterized with high lipid accumulation, were obtained.
