The kinematics of bringing down of waves above a sloping bottom is analysed. Comparison of design results with the theoretical analysis of co-operation of the separated waves of small amplitude with a step on the bottom and generalization in case of strong nonlinear waves, when the effects of dissipation and interfusion become substantial are executed.
