Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Investigations of layered InSe, GaSe, In2Se3, Bi2Se3, and Bi2Te3 compounds and their intercalates obtained by electrochemical intercalation of hydrogen, lithium, barium, and iodine ions, by insertion of iodine, magnesium, molecules of benzene and naphthalene from vapour phase as well as by diffusion into bulk of layered crystals from propolis films deposited on their surface are carried out. Effect of inserted impurities on crystal structure, transport properties of charge carriers, spectra of nuclear magnetic resonance, optical absorption and photoconductivity, as well as impedance spectra are established. Changes in the surface topology of layered crystals are found. For the investigated insertion compounds the states of intercalants and their concentration dynamics are determined. For gallium selenide it is detected the formation of a superlattice of nanodimensional pores the filling of which with hydrogen is reversible.
