Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, mineralogy and Ore Formation popup.description2 The investigation of phosphate-titanium deposits of the Ukrainian Shield (USh) associated with anorthosite rapakivigranite plutons have revealed spatial separation in a concentration of ilmenite and apatite. Significant concentrations of apatite is confined to high alkalinity gabbros. Distribution of phosphorus in the alkali-ultrabasic complexes USh has certain regional peculiarities. Sometimes the high apatite content have observed from ijolite-melteygite and pyroxenite-tveytozite, the highest concentrations - in carbonatites and tveytozite of the Chernigov massyf. Alkaline ultrabasic rocks of North-West part of the USh have low phosphorus content. In addition to long-known apatite deposits and ore occurrences, Ukraine has considerable potential for identifying new types of apatite deposits. First of all, it is Proterozoic's metagabbro. Apatite from alkaline rocks and carbonatites of alkaline-ultrabasic complexes has characterized by a significant concentration of TRCe and high Sr, whereas the rocks from gabbro-syenite complexes and ore gabbros from gabbro-anorthositic massifs, TRY and Y play a significant role with low Sr. In the REE spectras from apatite gabbro-anorthositic and gabbro-syenite massifs has eloquently demonstrated the negative Eu-anomalies, whereas they are insignificant in apatite from alkali-ultrabasic massifs and Goloskovo's ore metagabbro. These features of the REE distribution of apatite suggest different mechanisms of apatite rock formation in different complexes. Significant negative Eu-anomalies explained by intense plagioclase fractionation with prevalence of the crystallization differentiation. Negligible negative Eu-anomaly and the significant slope of the spectra has indicated a slight partial melting of mantle material and the subordinate role of crystallization differentiation processes at formation of alkali-ultrabasic rocks. Isotopic determination of 87Sr/86Sr in apatite from different deposits and ore-bearing rocks are predominantly depth values. Possibly the definite increase in this ratio have related with crust's material contamination at the individual rocks.
