The object of the study was to develop the scientifically proved criteria of materials classification as individual retrospective and accidental dosimeters of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) as well as to collect and test the samples - potential EPR dosimeters. Methods of the study: electron paramagnetic resonance, statistical and analytical methods. Parameters that are dosimetrically significant for individual retrospective and accidental EPR dosimetry have been determined and their ranges suitable for potential individual retrospective and accidental EPR dosimeters were studied. The samples were exposed to gamma radiation whithin 1-25 Gy to study their dose dependses. Stability of radiation-induced paramagnetic centers were tested for various tempeatures of storage after irradiation. Effect of natural origin light exposure on mateial EPR signal stability was also studied. Materials which could be used as individual accidental and retrospective EPR dosimeters were aggregated into the Catalogue of dosimetric materials. Form of implementation: a draft of recommendations for retrospective and accidental external exposure estimation for victims of radiation accidents and terroristic acts elaborated for Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ministry of Emergency, Scientific Nuclear Regulation Committee, and NNEGC ENERGOATOM.
