The process of burning husk and sawdust was studied by derivatograhpic method. It was calculated that application of the heat-generating bioresidues annually formed in Ukraine should save 5.78 mln t of coal. The basic kinds of agricultural crop and forestry residuals will be investigated as prospective solid biomass fuel for the ferrous metallurgy.
