Methods of study: general clinical, immuno-enzimatic, hystological, immunohystological, ultrasonic, X-ray. Results and their novelty: The new protocol of study was developed and treatment of patients with PC was performed based on modern technologies (screening method, dynamic measurement of PSA, transrectal biopsy, ultrasound, hormonal therapy with use of LGRH and steroid antiandrogens). Based on the complex of dynamic follow up, histology studies and immuno- histochemical study of the expression of protein genes p53, p16, Ki-67, Bcl-2 their prognostic value was determined. The correlation between Gleason grade, nuclear expression of p53, Ki-67, and cytoplasmic hyperexpression of Bcl-2 (p<0.05) has been established. It was determined that intermitting hormonal therapy allows to achieve high level of 3-year cancer specific survival (86,4%) and minimize side effects of treatment.
