The goal of this research was investigation and development of modern economic and environmentally friendly technologies and methods for preparation of the high-quality drinking water from surface water sources with high levels of natural contamination and anthropogenic pressures. Combination of physical-chemical, biological and chemical methods for achieving water quality according to the indicators of national and international standards in the reconstruction of existing and construction of new plant for drinking water preparation was used. Specificity of water pollutants seasonal behavior in places of water intake from Kremenchug reservoir was examined; Kremenchug water treatment plant was examined; technological parameters of the effective application of processes of coagulation, ozonation, biofiltration of water through activated carbon, flotation, disinfection, phytoplankton removing at different stages of water treatment were established; integrated scheme for drinking water preparation was proposed and tests of water purification technological regimes on pilot plant "Dnepr-2008" were carried out. Manufacturing application of the proposed complex technological scheme with maximum use of existing treatment facilities will provide obtaining of quality drinking water. Field of use.
