Description and the GMO characteristics which are used in the open systems in other countries or passed approbation or research are carried out. The analysis of literature is carried out in relation to the GMO influence on the environment and criteria are developed for risk assessment of the potential GMO influence on the environment, the risk assessment criteria of GMO influence on the environment are developed as well in the case of the GMO import into Ukraine and the criteria for the state approbation (test) GMO and GMO release into the environment are developed. The material's requirements to carry out the state ecological assessment with the purpose of their import, conducting of state approbation (test), and release into the environment are developed. The requirements to the organizations which will conduct researches of the GMO influence on the environment are developed, the list of competent scientific assessors which are able to carry out ecological assessment of research materials is made, with the area of their investigations of the GMO researches and the list of experts of Ukraine, which have an experience of the GMO researches is offered (with the list of their publications in this area).
