Object of research is Earth observation Grid systems. Methods of research include system analysis, object-oriented approach, unified-modeling language, distributed systems. We provided analysis of main properties and functionality of existing middleware, namely Globus Toolkit and gLite, and their exploitation for the development of Grid systems for satellite data processing. We presented results of investigation of a core Grid system architecture that is implemented using the standard software that was configured to meet certain requirements. We also covered the problem of geospatial data visualization and development of services that allows for integration data acquired from different sources. All solutions that were presented in the report conform to all international standards and meet requirements to open and scalable systems.
