The purpose of the research is to obtain informativity quantitative estimations of modernized onboard optical electronic sensors for the typical thematic problems solving. Research methods are comparative analysis of technical characteristics of space systems for obtaining the remote data of high spatial resolution, working out of quantitative models for detection of object recognition signs on digital space images, spatially-frequency analysis, information theory and mathematical statistics. The research work is made to order of Central design office "Arsenal". The main initiator of the activity is Scientific Centre for Aerospace Research of the Earth IGS NAS of Ukraine, other co-authors are not engaged. Results of the research can be used for modernization of the perspective domestic onboard optical electronic sensors of remote sensing satellites.
