Object of the research is methodological and technical support for a test area for remote sensing calibration and validation. The purpose of the research is to obtain and investigate spectral reflectance of the main nature objects within the Shatsk test area. Research methods contain field investigations of land covers of the Shatsk National Nature Park and spectroscopy. Methodological approaches to approbation and certification of the aerospace techniques for ecological and nature-recourse tasks solving are worked out. According to the international standards the technique for field spectroscopy of nature objects using field spectroradiometer FieldSpec3 is developed and proposed; standard certificate forms for test sites and plots are developed. Landscape structure, land cover and ecosystems of the test area are analyzed. The results were used to harmonize CORINE Land Cover Classification 2000 with the Polissia region specialties.
