A purpose of work is development of theoretical bases of creation of multi-stage turbo expander, being based on modern achievements theories of turbines of gases, applied geometry, calculable gas dynamics, theory of planning of experiment and theory of optimization, intended for the increase of efficiency of work of research object. A research method is a modeling of gas dynamic proc-esses, what is going on in flow path of multi-stage turbo expander of axial type taking into account physical properties of natural gas, distributing of parameters of flow on the height of blades, forming of cross-sections of blades with the use of new approaches to the construction of their pressure and suction shape, calculation of viscid flow of working matter with the use of package of software Flow Vision. Theoretical bases of creation of multi-stage turbo expander are developed, which are based on modern achievements of theory of gas turbines as it applies to deter-mination of losses of energy in the blade apparatus of turbo expander, twirling of blades on the height of flow path; to the applied geometry for forming of curvilin-ear lines and surfaces of spatial blades, meridional cross-sections of flow path; methods of calculable gas dynamics for the calculation of spatial viscid flow of working matter and determination of efficiency of blades apparatus; theories of planning of experiment are in the plan of receipt of equalization of hyper surface, which describes dependence of losses of energy on the geometrical parameters of types of grates, and theory of optimization for the direct decision of optimization task.
