Neuroendocrine regulation of systems of reproduction and adaptation. Aim of investigation. To elucidate the role of intracellular calcium ions in pathogenesis of neuroendocrine disorders of reproduction and adaptation resulted from hormonal imbalance and stress during perinatal period of the individual development. Methods. Physiological, biochemical, hormonal, statistical. Results. The modulating effects of calcium channel blockers verapamil and nimodipine used in perinatal period on the process of brain sexual differentiation and reproductive and adaptive functions were revealed. Perinatal application of the mentioned preparations prevented induced by hormonal imbalance changes of protein profile in discrete brain structures in rats as well as stress and noradrenergic reactivity of HPA axis, while disorders in brain androgen metabolism and sexual cyclicity and sexual behavior were not affected. Results obtained suggest the participation of calcium signalling in forming of neuroendocrine regulation of reproductive and adaptive systems in early ontogenesis and in pathogenesis of its epigenetic disorders resulted from hormonal imbalance and stress.
