To investigate gender peculiarities of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and to develop approaches to pharmacotherapy of D2M depending on metabolic and hormonal disturbances. New gender-differed approaches to diagnostics and therapy of metabolic disturbances in patients with T2D were developed, depending on present clusters of metabolic and hormonal disturbances. The relationships between biochemical parameters, insulin resistance, sex hormones and insulin supplying and IR degree or diabetic complications in T2M patients were revealed. The new: new methods of gender-dependent diagnostics and pharmacotherapy of D2M with signs of MS were developed and clinically tested.
