Results and its novelty: It was determined that the most high operational parameters of power fire-safe cables are realized at use crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation in its constructions. The assessment criterion of quality of technologies for extrusion overlaying with XLPE insulation and conductive shielding layers was developed. This criterion was grounded on necessity of overlaying of shielding layers with thickness not less than 1 mm and inadmissibility of decrease of shielding layer conductivity more than on three order at raise of local temperature XLPE insulation up to 1500С. The main results are applied: at factory "Yuzhcable" (Kharkov) as mathematical models and recommendations for increase of operating characteristics of power fire-safe cables and decrease of a degradation of its crosslinked polythene insulation at influence of external high temperatures.
