Aim: The improvement of the scientific and scientific-applied aspects of the expert's activity of the SGCU, directed to the fulfillment of the regulatory act's requirements as for basic foundation on the quality and cost estimation of the stone-made cultural values. Methods: Mineralogical and economic. Results: The main methodical approaches to the stone-made cultural values were unified, which allow shorting the expert time consuming procedures, improving the process of the expert evaluation and optimizing the order of expert's evaluation of the stone-made cultural values. Introduction degree: the research results are going to be used for expert activity of the SGCU. The interconnection: the researches are based on the prior elaboration of the SGCU namely on The Regulations of costs rating of the memorials from the Ukrainian museum funds containing precious metal and gems stones as well as on the Historic funds of precious metals and gems stones of Ukraine (Order № 612 dated 30.11.2001.) and on the Cost determination procedure of the cultural values (Order dated 07.09.2005, № 70/05). Implementation and prognosis: the research results can be implemented for the cultural values made of precious stones as jewellery sets and jewellery for the trade operations in the Ukrainian market as well as for the import-export operations.
