During the reporting period the database directory of the infrared spectra for the investigation of gemstones on the basis of the spectroscopic data was formed for gemological expert examination. To investigate gemstones with the help of infrared spectroscopy the examination of the synthetic analogues and the distinction of the synthetic stones of the beryl and quartz families were done.
