Methods of research: the questionnaire poll among the students of 1st and 4th years of studying that was conducted in 34 universities in 16 cities of Ukraine, the content-analysis of school textbooks of the Soviet period, of the first years of Independence of Ukraine and analysis of present textbooks. The data used in this report may be used in the educational process and further scientific investigations of problems of formation of civil identity of youth in the post-Soviet countries.
