Purpose of the work is to create actual data set of the special documentary information on the history of Ukrainian music and ethnomusicology, to expose their value of sources and to introduce them to the research field by corresponding software, to publish bibliographic and source study researches on the basis of musical collections of the library and folklore archive of Volodymyr Hoshovskyi. To complete the research, next methods were applied: analytical (for the study of historical, ethnographic and musical and folklore literature); concretely-historical (in consideration with processes of populating of Galychyna region and stages of research interest development); comparative historical method (for the estimations of trends of folklore researches of ethnic groups, their "historical memory", value of folklore materials of migrants for understanding of evolutional processes in folk tradition). The results of conducted research performs both theoretical and practical value, as far as updating of a spring base is needed for the deep and comprehensive study of musical culture of Ukraine, especially creative work of the West-European composers, history of dialog of cultures.
