Hybrid guest-host nanocomposites based on semiconductive polymer poly(2-methoxi, 5-(2'-ethyl-hexyl)-p-phenylene vinylene) and mesoporous silicon dioxide, the photoluminescence spectra of which possess unusual, as compared with the individual polymer, temperature dependence due to inhibition of thermally induced changes of the polymer chain conformations in conditions of the spatial confinement inside narrow nanopores. It is shown that interaction between the macromolecules of semiconductive conjugated polymers and nanoparticles of titanium, zinc, cadmium and lead oxides and sulfides is able to effect substantially on the charge separation between them which could shift the maximum and change the intensity of absorption and luminescence spectra of the hybrid films based thereon.
