Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 We investigated biological properties of some calixarenes, which were synthesized in the Institute of Organic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine, in in vitro system (sensitive and resistant to antitumor drugs cell lines). It was shown that calixarenphosphorous acids were able to interact with some antigens, associated with drug resistance and evaluate cytotoxic effect of doxorubicin against sensitive and resistant to doxorubicin cell lines. Those results from in vitro system showed that further investigation of biological action of calixarenphosphorous acids with specific sites of interaction with antigens of tumor cells, is needed to be performed on in vivo model.
