From the point of view of capacity and profitability of work of the engine it is used two types of rings: compression and oil. A difference between them saturate is little (at a level of micrometers). But compression rings require the greater attention. It first of all concerns rings for locomotive and tractor engines. On the basis of the literary data and experience of the previous research works which have been lead(which have been carried out) in Institute of gas, the analysis which has allowed to make a choice of the most economic thermal drawing of a covering on a detail is made. The lead(carried out) experiments on studying influence of parameters of arc spraying on quality indicators of the half-seized covering have allowed to formulate base recommendations concerning a choice of technology of drawing of coverings on rings for engines of combustion (basically diesel) depending on conditions their works.
