The purpose of work - define criteria for selecting Web resources for storage in the Central State Archive of Ukraine and the electronic description of these criteria in the form of guidance. Methods – common scientific: a comparative, analytical, chronological, the method of structural-functional analysis. Novelty: the first in Ukraine reviewed the global experience of archival institutions in the field of archival storage of Web resources. Undertaken by clarifying the basic concepts of research (web resources, website, web-documents, etc.) according to its purpose, provides general topography of web space as a source of acquisition of the archive, its ranking in the selection of areas according to their priority. Practical results: The legal basis for possible selection and storage of Web resources and criteria for selecting Web resources as a source of acquisition of NAF and developed guidelines, which, inter alia, reviewed the characteristics of specific examples and evidence of web resources that are stored in the Central State electronic archive of Ukraine. Scope: state archives that preserve electronic documents.
