It was established that in-service degradation of weld joints of pipeline steels make worse their mechanical properties, especially brittle fracture resistance - impact strength. It is important to take into account the obtained results for diagnostics of technical state and calculation of residual lifetime of main oil pipelines from the point of their safe exploitation.
