The theory and methodology of the investigation is based on general scientific and special methods that include the dialectic method of scientific knowledge and the fundamentals of forensic expert study. Scientific novelty of received results is that by the nature and the character of the issues revealed at the investigation it is the first systematic study in Ukraine, which contains the scientific basis of forensic examination related to trade secrets and know-how. The practical significance of the results of the investigation is that it reveals scientific terms and generalization which can be used in the practice of legal experts, judges, employees of Ministry of Home Affairs, lawyers and will be useful for all those interested in theoretical and practical aspects related to commercial secret and know-how.
