The results revealed an important role of apoptotic and necrotic death pathways of follicular and immune cells in the immune ovarian pathology. It was shown that modulators of cell death (anti-TNF antibodies, inhibitors of NF-kB activation, inhibitors of poly (ADP-ribose)-polymerase and others) exerted the protective effect on the oogenesis. This study showed the potential of cell death modulators as therapeutic agents upon autoimmune ovarian pathology in women.
