It was shown that high altitude hypoxia prevents age reduction of transcription factor HIF-1? in myocardium, activates compensatory HIF-3? - dependent mechanisms. Hypoxical preconditioning led to activation IGF-1- mediated mechanisms of prolonged reprogramming of energy metabolism in heart ventricles.
