It was found out that the conductivity of films deposited by EB-PVD is 5 times of that done by screen printing. New porous substrates of Ti-Si powder were developed. They are characterized by an enhanced surface of pores which is not naturally for such a kind of materials. The porosity of optimized substrates is about 30-35% and strength is more than 250 MPa. A stack of 5 fuel cells was tested. As a fuel the LPG was used. The performance of the stack at around 600 °C was 4 W at voltage of 3.5 V.
