P., Registration Date 11-01-2010 Organization M.P. Semenenko Institute of Geochemistry, mineralogy and Ore Formation popup.description2 Typification of diamonds from halos and mineral deposits of different megablocks of the Ukrainian shield is resulted. A conclusion is done that most diamonds have a kimberlitic origin. The prospects of diamondbearing ability of the known kimberlitic occurrence in the shield by their petrochemical, geochemical and mineralogical criteria are given. The highest prospects on a diamond potential have Devonian kimberlites in central part of Pripyat swell. Devonian kimberlites of East part of the Azov megablock are potentially diamondbearing. Mezoproterozoic kimberlites of central part of Kirovohrad megablock are considered. To be diamondless distribution, morphology and composition of minerals of matrixes in kimberlites are described; the sequence of formation of these minerals is shownt. It is established that these characteristics are caused by crystallization differentiation of kimberlitic melt, its cooling and oxidization. The results of petrographic and mineralogical study of alkaline-ultrabasic rooks of Bolyarkivska intrusion, discovered within the Novograd-Volyn geoblock of the Ukrainian shield, are sited. Xenogenous of the upper mantle minerals - pirope, chromdiopside, chromspinelides, enstatite, and olivine are found in the melanokrates varieties of meltigites from this intrusion. By their composition they are similar to the minerals of the same name in kimberlites. The rocks of Bolyarkivska intrusion are considered as an untraditional source of satellitic mineral of diamond. On the basis of petrographical and geochemical study of komatiites from Middle Dnieper and Azov megablocks a conclusion is done that they differ from diamondbearing komatiites from French Guiana. Among the basic rocks of dike complexes the derivatives of toleite magma prevail in these megablock.
