Purpose: To determine the clinical, morphological, and molecular-genetic parameters to classify AML as radiation-induced in patient exposed to ionizing radiation in low doses due to the Chernobyl accident. Methods: clinical, molecular-cytogenetics, molecular-genetics, statistics. We found that parameters, which might be used to classify AML as radiation-induced in patient exposed to ionizing radiation in low doses, are absence of translocations at AML and MLL locus, presence of deletions and loses of heterozygosity at chromosomes 5 and/or 7, and internal tandem duplication of FLT3 gene with multiple duplications.
