The aim of the work is to study basic characteristics of hydrodynamic soliton taking into account the possible curvature of the flow. The method of research is a theoretical one using empiric Jacobi functions. The novelty of the developed mathematical model of wavelike near-critical flows, of the derived generalized differential equation and of solutions obtained is taking into account the possible inclination and curvature of elementary streamlines in the initial section of phenomena considered. The efficiency of researches may be expressed in increasing the reliability of water management objects resulting from the more precise calculation of characteristics of liquid flow.
