The Programme and system of collection and processing of information were tested. One of key positions of the Programme is carrying out of synchronized counts of birds on the island and surrounding coastal areas, which allow to identify both similarities and differences in the structure of migration waves. The testing of the Programme proved that quality of monitoring principally grows due to use of methods of transect census on the island, giving an opportunity to characterize migratory waves more accurately. There were developed short proposals for infrastructure development on the island necessary for further study of migrations and wider and effective attraction of environmentally focused tourists.
