The subject of investigation is the search for the most suitable, rational and efficient, from technical and economical, resource-saving, energy-saving and ecologically friendly points of view, methods and technologies for comprehensive processing of oils into new biosynthetic materials. Such biosynthetic materials are of wide polyfunctional range and intended for different branches, in particular biofuels ( diesel and boiler ones ), technical liguids and solvents, base bio-oils, bio-oils-additives, biomonomers, components for detergents, lubricating-cooling agents for metal treatment and so on. The technological flow diagram and models of typical processes of I and P - modules for small and middle-tonnage processing production have been developed. New products have been identified, in particular with the use of infrared ( IR ) spectroscopy. The tribochemical mechanisms of using new biomaterials in friction units of machines have been investigated. The technological principles of obtaining, for the first time, such materials as bio-oils-SPN-additives of two types according to their structure; epoxide esters of high fatty acids (HFA) derived from sosol; ethanolamized esters of HFAs as promising products for many branches of economy have been suggested. The mathematical model of optimizing the composition and operational properties of new bio-oils-SPN-additives has been elaborated. The important functional characteristics of new bioproducts have been determined. A wide range of tribotechnical trials of new oils, bio-oils-additives and their lubricating compositions with the best mineral oils have been performed on friction machines on the FZG stand. The frictional surfaces of tribosystems on the condition of lubrication with new materials have been conducted with the help of electron spectroscopy. The ultimate significance of tribochemical activity of new lubricating materials in the creation of stable intersurface lubricating films of different origin and structure has been proved. Such films ensure the efficiency and reliability of operation of friction units in machines and mechanisms. In particular, such tribological parameters of lubricated friction units have been investigated, as thickness, "specific thickness" of lubricating films, piezo-coefficient of lubricating materials, viscosity-temperature dependencies, et cetera. According to the obtained performance characteristics, such as colloid stability, wear spot, scoring index, viscosity index, loading properties, the lubricating compositions obtained on the basis of new materials are on par with the same indicators of the best prototype materials, and sometimes exceed them.
