Research and optimization of emission and optical parameters of the sources developed are performed. A technique of transportation of negative ions from plasma volume to ion source emission inlet is suggested allowing the source emission features to be considerably improved. Record-breaking values of H- ion emission density (600 mA/cm2) are obtained for sources of volume ion generation. The negative ion hydrogen beam of 60 mA current is obtained. The derived values of ion current and H- ions density are the best in the negative ion hydrogen sources of volume ion generation.
