Main attention in the research was paid to the indication the reasons, which provide high specific energy of cathode material on the base of TiO2. It was shown, that titania dioxide, which is got as a result of fumed synthesis, is low-hydrated twophase powder-like material which contains an anatase and rutile. Determined by the Sherrer method the areas of coherent dispersion region of the nanoparticles of anatase and rutile coincide with the middle size of nanoparticles of fumed TiO2, which were determined with the help of electronic microscopy. Coinciding of the mentioned parameters certifies the single-crystal structure of titania nanoparticles. Inevitability of cracking single-crystal nanoparticles of anatase and rutile during electrochemical intercalationof lithium is proved. Current-formation electrochemical reactions which provide high power possibility of cathode materials on the basis of fumed TiO2 are connected with adsorption of lithium on the surface of cracks which appear as a result of diffusive deformation processes and local phase transformations of TiO2 in Li0,5TiO2 or TiO2 in LiTiO2 in the volume of nanocrystallites . An electrochemical source with cathode on the basis of titania has the highest power specific-capacitance, there titania is annealed at the temperature 773 К, which during the discharging of source to tension 2,2 V has the specific-capacitance 860 мА • hour •g-1.
