The purpose of research is reveal effect of temperature, electromagnetic stirring, vacuumizing, and alloying by Sc on the properties of high strength wrought Al alloy of В96Ц type at its manufacturing in vacuum MHD-unit, and also influence of melt temperature, cooling speed and speed of semicontinuous casting on the structure and properties of ingots. Methods of analysis are metallographic, chemical, mechanical testing, thermometric control, standard methods of investigation electromagnetic and hydrodynamic parameters. Laboratory model unit is manufactured and modelling of processes of preparation of Al alloy of В96Ц type in real MHD-unit is carried out as well as obtaining ingots in semicontinuous casting machine is done. Structure, properties of alloying capability of Al-Sc alloying additive is studied. Main technological parameters of ingot obtaining with non-dendritic structure is established. Application field of such alloys is foundry industry.
