The electro-hydrolysis precipitation of lanthanum (III) and cerium (III and IV) hydroxy compounds is studied. As shown, the electro-hydrolysis precipitation of lanthanum and cerium from pure solutions of their chlorides (in the presence of sodium chloride) practically does not differ at precipitation of these compounds with the help of sodium hydroxide solution. Precipitation of cerium hydroxy compounds from solution of CeCl3 in the presence of Cl2 takes place at рН, located between those, which correspond to precipitation from solution of CeCl3 and CeCl4, taken separately. These and also some other data, result in a conclusion about formation of polyhydroxy compounds at the chemical precipitation on the stage to appearance of solid phase nucleus.
