Aim of work - improvement of economic mechanism of sustainable use of forest resources and its renewal under transfer to market economy. Method of investigation - common analysis technique, synthetic procedure, systems approach, methods of sociological and marketing investigation, questionnaire, expert evaluation. Well-grounded analysis of the information flow in forestry sector on the basis of questionnaire enterprise's directors has been done. Scenarios of forestry sector development of Ukraine by results of entry into WTO have been worked out. Originality of investigation is that for the first time conceptual ideas and schematic approach of operating for mechanism of raw wood sale under the sustainable development principles has been provided. On the basis of designed automatic data bank elements, stated list of functions and objects, prepared structural-logic scheme software for decision-making support in forestry has been created and tested which has no analog. For the implementation proposed: "Recommendations for improvement of mechanism of sale raw wood in Ukraine"; and software "Information support system for decision-making in forestry".
