The purpose of work is the research of pulse processes effect on superhard materials (SHM) properties and diamond-containing composites. Experimental research of the complex of phenomena associated with the electrodischarge in water suspensions of diamond micropowders allowed to trace a connection between discharge circuit parameters, discharge characteristics and parameters of treatment with micropowder morphometric characteristics. The range of discharge circuit parameters is determined providing the velocity of current rise and pressure in the discharge channel ~800 МPа, at which all morphometric parameters of micropowders change, and the minimum size of particles merges to the range < 1 µm. Recommendations are developed for the use of the experimental results aimed to ascertain the range of changes in which the change dependence of morphometric characteristics of the particles of the studied SHM on sum energy of treatment is linear and to optimize this process, basing on operating rates and phisicomathematical properties of composition materials on basis of these SHM.
