The total amount of pigment is 0,036% for the dry algae mass. It was shown that fucoxanthin is toxic towards to the different types of the human malignant lymphoid cells, including resistant cells, besides, this pigment decelerates cells proliferation and causes increase of the cells content in G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle in small-toxic concentrations.
