Parameters of power elements and the algorithms of regulation providing necessary power characteristics are defined. Ways of perfection of arc welding process by a consumable electrode wire in protective gases are established. The effectiveness of response systems of automatic stabilization on the effects of various perturbations in the pulse-arc welding of powder and self-protective wires are investigated. Features of processes in systems of regulation of power supplies for arc welding and blocks of management by feeders of the wire, working together with them are considered, and application of electronic control systems by the electric drive with use of microprocessors is proved. As a result of the spent researches the management methods of power and technological possibilities of power supplies for arc and slag technologies are developed and systems for realisation of these methods are created.
