It was shown that influence of additions on material properties depends upon its crystal chemical structure.We set up nonsynonumous evaluation of oxide metals activity in solid solutions based upon accepted criterion - changes of free energy withing ?G systems. The method of determining relative activity of oxide metals in spinel solid solutions based upon evaluation of patterns magnetic properties was developed and 2 rows were formed where oxide metals are placed in order of lowering activity: CoO, NiO, MnO, (1) Li2O, Ag2O, Cu2O, Na2O (2) It was proved that X Ray examenations are necessary to determine relative activity of CaO, ZnO and CuO, ZnO. Methodological approach to selection of alloyed additions into functional materials was grounded which is based upon accepted classification of spinels based on their field value of geterovalent isomorphic substitution of cations causing changes of their valency, based on accepted ther - modynamical method of oxide metals relative activity formed in this work. Recommendations were suggested for using rows of relative activity in academic studies and also in putting alloyed additions into functional materials and in developing technological processes of processing polymetal raw materials.
