The main ratios and calculation results are presented of the stress-strain state on the linear portion of a pipeline with an internal ellipsoid-shaped defect under the action of internal pressure. The procedure is recommended for calculations of the stress-strain state of pipeline elements with accounting for defectiveness due to a long-term operation. The application fields include chemical industry, gas and oil-refining industry.
