An aim of research is to find out the conditions of appearance and general regularities of optical phenomena in globular opal-based photonic crystals infiltrated with colloidal silver, organic and inorganic active substances, and to determine parameters of optical processes into volume of photonic crystal. The method of research is the optical spectroscopy. Bulk globular photonic glass and crystals were grown on the base of silica dioxide and new nano-composites were obtained by infiltrating the photonic glass and crystals with active dielectrics. The structural parameters of grown samples have been determined. Regularities of the fluorescence spectra of laser dyes into volume of photonic crystals with different dielectric contrast, phenomena of surface enhanced Raman scattering and spontaneous parametric down-conversion in photonic crystals infiltrated with active dielectrics and nonlinear-optical materials have been studied. Obtained results can be used for producing new nano-composites, narrow-band optical filters, and light sources with re-built emission spectrum and for constructing amplified optical media for diagnostics of substances by optical spectroscopy methods.
