The purpose of the research concludes in revealing basic factors, defined the character and sense of public reaction for actual contemporary problems and importance of public movement in particular Cossack's activity for public thought's development. Results of the research were brought into educational process during studying such lection courses as History of Public Thought, History of Ukraine, History of Russia, special courses and seminars, historiography and sources studies in Dnipropetrovsk National University and other high schools. The ideas of the research became the basis for students' course and graduate works, dissertation researches and others. The results have practice use for creating the strategy spiritual and intellectual development in Ukraine and it's national and educational policy. Ideas for the further development of the research contains using this theoretical and methodical experience to study topics, connecting with Pridneprovsk region's history, history of Ukraine in other centuries, in XIV- XIX centuries generally. During final research stages there were defined directions in future researches, such as searching new archive's sources, discovering new names, fixed in almost forgotten periodical editions, comparing native public thought with foreign one in definite historical periods.
